I am an HCI researcher and a Ph.D. student in the Department of Industrial Design at KAIST, where I am working with Prof. Hwajung Hong.

My research interests lie at the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human-AI Interaction (HAI), and AI-mediated communication. Specifically, I study how AI agents and multimodal generative systems reshape the ways people work and communicate with one another, and whose needs these changes fail to accommodate. Drawing on the lived experiences of people from diverse backgrounds, I establish user-centered criteria for AI embedded in the sociotechnical systems of everyday life and build systems that put these criteria into practice.

Prior to my graduate studies, I received a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a B.A. in Information Science and Culture Studies from Seoul National University.
